Talking about passion, Southscapes Trece Martires Project Manager Thom Corpus recently made waves in the Beyblade competitive community.
What started as a bonding activity with his five-year-old son—watching anime together and collecting Beyblades—soon grew into a serious hobby. By August 2024, he had joined the local Beyblade community and began competing in tournaments.
His dedication quickly paid off. On February 3, he emerged as the Swiss King, finishing Top 1 out of 40 teams in a casual competition, followed by a Top 4 finish out of 40 teams on February 9. In major pro-league competitions, he also placed Top 8 out of 72 competitors in March 2025 and Top 24 out of 100 in October 2025.
Thom’s journey shows how passion, perseverance, and a little friendly competition can turn a simple family hobby into an exciting achievement.
